Putin: Russia to keep road projects, prepayment can rise to 50%

MOSCOW, Apr 16 (PRIME) -- Russia will continue large transport infrastructure projects, President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday and offered to raise the pre-payment for the projects to 50% from 30%.

"We will continue fulfillment of large infrastructure projects,” Putin said.

“Such as the increase of capacity of the Baikal-Amur Mainline and the Trans-Siberian Railway, construction of highways in the south of Russia, including connections to the Crimea Bridge and the Black Sea shore, modernization of airports in Chelyabinsk, Perm, Khabarovsk, Norilsk, construction of modern port facilities in Murmansk and near the Baltic Sea, the Black Sea and the Far East."

He said that the advance payment must rise to 50%.

"This will ensure additional turnover funds to the construction and other companies to help them keep a good working pace, fulfill obligations to the  suppliers in other industries and the main thing: to keep work places, salaries of employees, hire new experts," the president said.
